I Am the Solution Campaign

The purpose of this public relations campaign is to allow African-Americans and Latinos to believe they can offer solutions to complex problems that plague our country. This is because African-Americans and Latinos who suffer certain diseases do not typically participate in clinical trials and receive experimental treatments. In many instances, the medical community does not highlight the positive medical data that African-Americans and Latinos can contribute if they participate in clinical trials. Oftentimes, medical data involving African-Americans and Latinos who have certain common or rare diseases, disparately affecting them, is missing due to the lack of their representation in clinical research. The I Am Solutions Campaign advocates that participation in clinical trials allows African-Americans and Latinos to answer complex questions about their health.
